Sneak Peak "Miss Olivia" {Woodbridge, VA Photographer}

This morning I photographed the sweetest baby girl. This little girl is truly a gift from God and her parents are two of the nicest people in the entire world. They will be the best parents and Miss Olivia will be the most loved baby ever. Thank you Darlene and Marty for allowing me to photograph your precious baby girl and I look forward to many more photo sessions as Olivia grows.

My Daughters

I couldn't resist posting a couple pictures of my gorgeous children. You will see me posting a lot about them, because they are the reason I decided to pursue photography. Everytime I look at them, everything just falls into perspective for me. They are my life, the reason I strive to be a better person.

Nashville

Well we made it back from Nashville! We all had an amazing time at the hotel and scouting around Nashville. We went to the Country Music Hall of Fame, and got to see the Walk of Fame. The girls were just enamored by the sites. The Opryland Hotel was so incredible and huge. I had no idea it was so big. Here are a few pictures of our trip.

Wedding Entrance Dance

As I was scouring wedding sites tonight for my sisters impending wedding, I found this hilarious wedding entrance that a couple and their attendants performed. What an amazing show of love on their friends part and a true testament to the love and fun that this couple has.

Vacation - Nashville Bound

My husband; bless his heart has been working an incredible amount of overtime lately and we decided that to reward ourselves we would take the kids someplace fun. Well, we came up with an array of different locations and just couldn't decide. Finally, Chris suggested Nashville. As a self proclaimed country music fan, I can't believe I didn't think of it first.

We will be staying at the Opryland Hotel in downtown Nashville. This hotel is supposed to be amazing; with a river running through it. Can you imagine? I have always wanted to go see Nashville and my dream would be to check out the Grand Old Opry and catch a show. Wasn't I surprised when I called the hotel and Terri Clark was going to be performing on the Friday night that we are there. I reluctantly asked the hotel assistant if there was any chance we could get tickets to that show and to my surprise they had tickets.... Not just any tickets; front row seats.

Whoot, Whoot -- Nashville here we come.

Headshots - Lynn {CFO MWAA}

The Chief Financial Officer of my company asked me to do a few headshots of her the other day. Her picture will be featured in the AAAE (Code for American Association of Airport Executives) magazine for an article that she wrote. They should be in the February/March issue featured here. I am so excited to see them. Thanks Lynn :)

Holly McCaig Workshop

I was just over the moon excited to see that Holly McCaig was offering an online workshop to cover her Senior Model Program. I immediately contacted her because she is keeping it fairly small and only accepting 10 photographers to join the group. If you are interested, check out her blog here

This should be an amazing opportunity especially for us "newbies" who are excited to learn from some of the more experienced and AMAZING photographers like Holly.

New rule: No posting without adding pictures; so here is one of my niece.

What to Wear

The most common question that photographers get asked is "What should I wear?" Well, here are a few examples of coordinating outfits that are really cute for kids. I found all of these outfits at Bodenusa.com

Jess

This shoot was meant to be of Jess' daughter Riley, but Riley had other plans for us that day and her plans did not include picture taking. :) So while I got a few of Riley, Jess was the model for the day. Isn't she just gorgeous! Thanks Jess.

I am so excited to share with you my new Logo designed by Tiffany at On The Spot Studio. Tiffany was amazing to work with. We started in one direction with my Logo and ended up doing something totally different. While my indecisiveness would have driven anyone else crazy, Tiffany was amazingly patient and kept trying new things until we ended up with a Logo that I loved.

This year is turning out to be a great one! I am excited to launch my Senior Representative Program and am still looking for High School Seniors in the Northern Virginia area. If you know any 2010-2011 High School Seniors, have them contact me through facebook or at melissawallerphotography@yahoo.com.
